Proudly holding your A2 motorcyclelicence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performancesrestrictions, your motorcycledream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performancesclasses become more appealing to the motorcyclerider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performancesreduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performancesmeasurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performancesdevelopment, as unaltered as possible.
If all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performancesreduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
