Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Slight snag: the standard power, performance is too high for the stepped driving licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be converted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power, performance of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Here, essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust emission, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high level of development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions function by mechanical means; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle travel restrictors.
