General Description

Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and twice the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as far as possible unchanged.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
