Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as far as possible unchanged.
When all requirements are met, a technical report is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. Power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
