Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
