Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the progressive licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power output of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original vehicle's output must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. Power reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
