Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reductions. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or using throttle stops.
