Proudly holding the motorcycle driving licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power, performance for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a technical report is created by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed intake restrictors in the intake manifold, or with throttle travel limiters.
