Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, you’ve seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small hitch: the standard power, performance is too high for the stepped licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power, performance of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into developing power, performance reduction. Here, significant factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.

Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restriction plates and throttle restrictors.

25 kW Restrictions:

Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle restrictors.
