Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for a graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Thanks to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
