Proudly holding your motorcycle licence A2, you've seen your dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for a phased licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more attractive for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as emission, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a component report is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high development and measurement effort is involved, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
