Small hitch: the standard power, performance output for a graduated licence is too high. Is your dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance restrictions. Key factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which isn't always immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
