Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor dealer – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? Quite the opposite, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of an A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
