Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictors, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of the power, performance restrictor. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogenous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, significant development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
