Proudly holding the A2 motorcyclelicence, seen the dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Slight hitch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycledream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcyclerider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a significant development and measurement effort involved, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
