Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is the machine you MUST have! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction kits. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
