General Description

Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reductions. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a technical report is drawn up by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed intake restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
