"motorcycleland" technical report 25 kW for Suzuki GSF600S / GSF600, vehicle type: WVA8, from model year 1999, with EC type-approval no. e4*92/61*0060*00, with conversion partsGeneral description
Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated driving licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power restriction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality! With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.
A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.
25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. Power restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
Features of the restriction kit:
- Multi-brand compatible
- Excellent value for money
- With parts certificate
- Tested quality
- Technical support
- Over 1200 kits immediately available
