Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, your dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small hitch: the standard power output is too high for the staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogenous power, performance delivery.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is created by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle restrictors.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driver Licensing Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to get by with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle restrictors.
