Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power reduction is achieved through the installation of specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
