Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for a graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Considerable expertise goes into developing power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and metrological effort, which isn't always apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake manifold or by using throttle stops.
