Proudly holding the A2 motorcyclelicence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power for the tiered licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycledream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcyclerider, as almost every desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is created by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
