Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be the one! Small snag: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and twice the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a technical report is created by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
