Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which isn't immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop restrictors.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stop restrictors.
