Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the stock power is too high for a graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the stock vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a technical report is prepared by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. alpha Technik offers due to its extensive product range still numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed intake restrictors in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
