Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! The small catch: the standard power is too high for a tiered licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which isn't always immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic interventions are necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
