Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you’ve seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the tiered licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or by means of throttle stops.
