Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've spotted your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
