Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, the dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performances reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can subsequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
