General Description

Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor dealer – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the tiered driving licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances power reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances power classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performances power of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power restriction. Key factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, an expert report is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. Power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
