Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Key factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development, as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a significant development and measurement effort is involved, which is not always apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
