Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is THE machine! Small catch: the standard power output for the tiered licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more attractive for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Key factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side is the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development, as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driver's licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, novice drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
