Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor dealer – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the stock power for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply for holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, the legal requirements, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
