Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for a graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into developing the power, performances reduction. Key factors must be considered here: on one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes unassuming restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
