Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance for the progressive driving licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance to weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and twice the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
