Proudly holding the A2 motorcycledriving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small snag: the standard power output for the staged driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycledream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcyclerider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as far as possible unchanged.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
