Proudly holding your motorcycle licence A2, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor dealer – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driver's licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restriction kits work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
