Proudly holding the A2 motorcycle licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high level of development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
