Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Slight snag: the standard power is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restrictions. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development. If all requirements are met, a component certificate is created by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
