Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, there are legal requirements, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
