Proudly holding the A2 motorcyclelicence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for a restricted licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performancepower reductions, your motorcycledream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performanceclasses become more interesting for the motorcyclerider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performanceweight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performancemeasurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the goal of largely maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery.
If all requirements are met, a technical report is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high level of development and measurement effort is involved, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performancepower reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
