Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! One small catch: the standard power output for the progressive licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction kits. Key factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no electronic interventions are necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
