Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! The only snag: the standard power output is too high for your graduated driving licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, legal regulations such as emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development, as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
