Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the graduated licence. Is it just a dream? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a significant development and measurement effort is undertaken, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or using throttle stops.
