General Description

Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and twice the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and metrological effort that is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
