Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - it HAS to be this one! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated driving licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of the power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a significant development and measurement effort is involved, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
