Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a phased licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, statutory regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake manifold, or with throttle stop limiters.
