With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as emissions, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC Directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal ridability and homogeneous power, performances delivery. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves considerable development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performances restriction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
