Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the series power, performance for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output power, performance of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogenous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
