Proudly holding your motorcycle licence A2, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! The small catch: the standard power is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as emissions, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery. Once all requirements are met, a technical report is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and metrological effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
